Ensure a peace of mind knowing that Nate is Inspection Certification Associates (ICA) certified, which uses the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Standards of Practice. SECS/SCHI's certification number is 33066, so you know that when a home inspection is requested and completed, only the highest standards are used.

Meet Your Inspector, Nate Thomas - Owner


Nate Thomas has been a small business owner for over 10 years, running SECS environmental contracting business, and will utilize his work ethics and business experience to provide you with a quality home inspection report.

Inspection

Thoroughly inspecting your future home, for you, from roof to basement/crawlspace.

We provide home inspections on residential homes and condominiums.

The inspection covers function and safety of the structural and service components of a home, including but not limited to the home, decks, porches, driveways, walkways, garages/carports, plumbing and electrical, and general grading around the home. Also checked are all electrical clearances.

During inspections, we do not inspect outbuildings, pools, or fencing, unless requested, and those additional inspected items are also a limited inspection based on function and safety. Playground nor play equipment are inspected.

4-Point Inspections

4-Point Inspections are insurance-related inspections covering the 4 major systems in a home: Roof, HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing.  Some insurers require these for a homeowner to get home insurance. While these major systems are part of a full home inspection, certain instances may require a 4-Point Inspection.
These inspections typically take 45 minutes, and are strictly visual, using training and experience to determine if there are any issues with these systems. Contact Nate to schedule your 4-Point Inspection.

Service Areas include the Dalton, Chatsworth, and Calhoun areas, and immediate suburban areas around them. The Chickamauga, Fort Oglethorpe, Ringgold, and LaFayette areas can request home inspections also.
